1. Privacy Policy

What We Collect

• Account info: email and display name (if provided)
• Authentication: your Firebase user ID (uid)
• Membership & entitlements: plan (Free/Starter/Pro), selected tools, and lock dates (e.g., Starter change lock)
• Subscription metadata: Stripe customer/subscription IDs and status (no card numbers are stored on EchoNorth servers)
• Tool inputs you submit (e.g., resume text, bio details) and the generated outputs you choose to copy/download
• Usage analytics: page views and feature events (e.g., generate, copy, download)

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage. Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar technologies. You can use your browser settings to control cookies.

How We Use Data

• To generate AI-powered outputs from your inputs
• To operate your account, membership, and entitlements
• To improve tool performance (aggregate, de-identified analytics)
• To send account or product updates if you opt in

Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties.

2. Data Processors

To provide ProTools, EchoNorth uses the following processors:

• Firebase (Google): authentication and database (Firestore)
• OpenAI: text and image generation via API
• Stripe: subscription billing (customer/subscription IDs; EchoNorth never stores card numbers)
• Google Analytics: anonymous usage analytics

3. Data Retention & Deletion

• Account & membership data is retained while your account is active or as required by law.
• Tool inputs/outputs are processed to generate results and are not stored on EchoNorth servers unless explicitly stated on a tool. Outputs you copy or download are saved on your device.
• Entitlements & lock dates (e.g., Starter change windows) are stored to operate your membership.
• You may request deletion of your account data by emailing support@echo-north.com. We will delete or anonymize your personal data except where retention is required.

4. Use of AI Technology

EchoNorth tools use the OpenAI API (GPT-4) to generate outputs. AI-generated results may be:

• Inaccurate
• Biased
• Unexpected

Always review generated content before use. EchoNorth is not liable for the outcome of any generated content.

5. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All custom content, tool design, and site visuals are the property of EchoNorth and its creator. Do not replicate or resell without permission.

You retain full rights to any content you input or download.

6. Limitation of Liability

Use EchoNorth tools at your own risk. We make no guarantees as to:

• Fitness for purpose
• Availability
• Compatibility

EchoNorth is not responsible for any damages arising from use of this site or its tools.

7. Updates to Policy

This policy may be updated occasionally. The latest version will always be posted here.

8. Membership & Entitlements (ProTools)

• Free: access to select tools as listed on the site.
• Starter: choose two tools in addition to free tools. Selections can be changed, but a 30‑day lock may apply after changes.
• Pro: access to all current ProTools.
• To operate the lock, EchoNorth stores a timestamp (e.g., lockUntil) in your account.
• We may suspend access for abuse, security risks, or non‑payment.
